Budgeting : “How to budget like a boss: take control of your expenses!”

Description: What’s more important: Going out to eat with friends or making sure you pay your bills on time? Why not both? Learn how to manage your money and make a budget catered for your needs.
Study Abroad : “How to study abroad without going under”
Wednesday, November 13 | 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. | Cedar and Spruce Rooms
Studying abroad can be an exciting time. We understand it can be stressful too, but it doesn’t have to be! Attend this workshop to better understand expenses abroad and how to fund your time away from Eugene.
Loan Repayment : “I took out a loan! Now what?”

Did you know that there are steps you can take now while you are in school to make paying back loans smoother later? Don’t wait until graduation to find out! Come join us as we talk about loan repayment, loan forgiveness, and what to do when money is tight. This hands-on workshop is sure to give you the tools you need to walk out confidently and say, “I am ready to pay my loans!”

The Great Scholarship Search – Session I (first hour)
Learn how to plan a strategic scholarship search and get insight into where to find additional opportunities outside of the UO. We will help you set up scholarship profiles with the new UO Scholarship Dashboard. Let us help you jump start your scholarship search and leave with an action plan in hand! Bring your laptop and be prepared to start searching!
Scholarship Tips and Writing Techniques – Session II (second hour)
In this session we help you to develop your own story. Find out what scholarship committees are looking for in the scholarship essay. Plus learn other tips and strategies that help you highlight your strengths. After this session, you should feel more confident in your ability to articulate your story for your scholarship essay. Bring your laptop or pen and paper and be prepared to brainstorm ideas!
